HOME — 10 Years of Singing Together
For ten years, Magnifica has been the place its members return to. Some joined as students and are now working adults. Some left the city and came back. Some have been in the room since the first rehearsal. The choir has sung on festival stages and in church sanctuaries, at masses and at friends’ weddings, and in between, it has been a group of people who see each other every week.
The concert celebrates a decade of music, friendship, and faith. Those three have never been separate for us. Rehearsal is where the singing happens, but it is also where the friendships were made, and for many of us, where faith found a voice it didn’t have before.
Where every voice finds home is not a slogan we wrote for the poster. It is what we hope happened to everyone who walked into a rehearsal over the past ten years, and what we want the audience to feel on 21 November.
